Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to join the Amazon Leo Product and Privacy Legal team, with the role focusing on product and privacy counseling. We're seeking a dynamic associate corporate counsel to help shape the future of global internet access through Amazon Leo's satellite connectivity initiative. In this pivotal role, you'll provide critical legal guidance that bridges innovative technology and privacy protection, enabling internet connectivity for underserved communities worldwide.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic privacy legal counsel to business teams developing satellite connectivity solutions
  • Develop innovative legal strategies that balance risk management with business flexibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex legal and regulatory challenges

Our legal team is uniquely positioned on the product side, offering comprehensive support across business domains. We're a collaborative group dedicated to enabling Amazon Leo's vision of worldwide connectivity. Our team spans multiple regions, supporting business-to-consumer, business-to-business, and government interactions with a forward-thinking approach to legal challenges.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
  • Experience in oral and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  • Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
  • Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent
  • Background in technology or product-focused legal support
  • Deep understanding of privacy and technology regulations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
