Job Overview:Los Angeles Catastrophic Personal Injury Law Firm seeks to add two associates to our growing practice. The first position is for a trial attorney. The second position is for a pre-trial litigation attorney with strong experience in law and motion and trial documents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Assist with negotiations and settlement discussions
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Perform other legal administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research purposes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
