Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics, utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation proceedings across multiple practice areas including personal injury law.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases while managing a caseload independently.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the law office to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Experience:
- J.D. and active membership in the California State Bar (in good standing).
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred, with emphasis on law and motion.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with legal administrative tasks.
- Proven skills in negotiation and litigation are highly desirable.
- Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting are essential for success in this role.
- Knowledge of various areas of law including but not limited to civil litigation, insurance law, healthcare, and false claims act will be advantageous.
