Position Summary/Objective
We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our legal team at The Multi-Brand Platform Company, based in Carrollton, TX. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. The Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support across our brands, focusing on legal advice, research, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws.

This position reports directly to the General Counsel.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide timely and effective legal advice to management and various departments.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business initiatives and decision-making.
  • Negotiate, draft, and review contracts and other legal documents to ensure they meet company policies and legal standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor and employment laws.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to mitigate legal risks and support overall corporate governance.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment (onsite or remote). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, video conferencing, webinars, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets, shredding and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to walk, talk, see and hear. Must be able to lift up to must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, Exempt position of at least 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:
Travel is primarily during business days, out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected based on individual job responsibilities. Some of the travel may occur on weekends or be international. Company events may include Summits and the Annual Conventions may also include travel. Travel is expected to be less than 20%.

Required (or Preferred) Education and Experience
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state, with a preference for candidates licensed in Texas.
  • 1-5 years of experience in corporate law, real estate, litigation, or general practice.
  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment law.
  • Proven experience in providing legal advice, conducting legal research, and contract negotiation.
  • Skills in negotiating and reviewing various types of contracts is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in both traditional and remote settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in the franchise industry is a plus but not required.
