Our associates have a 1,664-hour annual billable requirement, and we offer a hybrid work environment within a collegial, highly collaborative practice. We also encourage active involvement in bar associations and support attorneys in pursuing leadership roles within the legal community.

The Position:
As an Associate Attorney, you will work on a variety of existing and new litigation matters and gain hands-on experience in all phases of civil litigation, including:
  • Developing and implementing case strategies and litigation plans;
  • Conducting factual investigations and legal research;
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and other substantive court filings;
  • Preparing and responding to written discovery;
  • Taking and defending depositions as experience permits;
  • Preparing for and participating in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other court proceedings;
  • Assist senior trial counsel with all phases of trial preparation and courtroom proceedings;
  • Communicating directly with clients and developing strong client relationships; and
  • Working closely with senior attorneys who provide guidance, mentoring, and support.

Our goal is to provide associates with the opportunity to become capable, confident litigators. We believe that requires meaningful responsibility and practical experience, combined with the mentoring and support necessary to succeed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Approximately 1–3 years of civil litigation experience;
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar;
  • A J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school – this requirement is non-negotiable;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills;
  • The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities;
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach; and
  • A passion for developing a civil litigation practice.

Experience in business and/or real estate litigation is preferred but not required.
