Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our pre-litigation department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of personal injury claims and will play a key role in managing cases from initial intake through settlement negotiations.
Key Requirements:
Conduct thorough case evaluations and legal research to determine the viability of personal injury claims.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Draft and file demand letters, medical record requests, and other essential correspondence.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are represented.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for potential litigation.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and legal standards.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting personal injury claims.
- Litigate small cases with little to no paralegal support
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school by state you are hired for (Utah, Arizona, and/or Idaho).
- Admission to the bar in [hired on State].
- 1-3 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on pre-litigation matters preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
