Essential Responsibilities:
Case Ownership & Medical Management
  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters from onboarding through settlement or litigation transfer.
  • Drive medical treatment follow-up, record collection, and lien awareness to support case value.
  • Monitor treatment gaps, compliance, and documentation to ensure cases remain demand-ready.

Client Screening & Intake Support

  • Conduct PNC interviews and participate in client screening and sign-up processes.
  • Partner with the Director and Attorney Manager to evaluate case viability, liability, and strategic fit.

Case Strategy & Valuation Alignment

  • Develop case strategy in partnership with the Attorney Manager and Director.
  • Do not set final case values independently.
  • Collaborate with leadership to confirm valuation, negotiation posture, and settlement strategy.

Demand & Negotiation Execution

  • Prepare and submit demand packages in accordance with firm standards.
  • Conduct settlement negotiations within assigned authority.
  • Escalate high-value, complex, or at-risk cases to leadership for guidance or approval.

Paralegal & Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with assigned paralegals and legal assistants to ensure timely task execution, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to support staff to keep cases moving.

File Integrity & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant case files in the case management system.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines, statutes of limitation, and firm policies.

Litigation Readiness & Case Transfer

  • Prepare cases for litigation when resolution is not achieved, ensuring files are complete, accurate, and defensible.
  • Coordinate with Litigation and legal support teams to support clean, timely case transfers without value loss or documentation gaps.

Risk, Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Protect the firm from missed deadlines, Statute of Limitations exposure, and compliance failures.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and firm policy standards across the department.
  • Identify and escalate compliance, quality, or risk issues before they impact case value or firm exposure.

Qualifications & Proficiencies
  • Juris Doctor (jd) and Active Texas Bar License in Good Standing.
  • 2+ Years of Experience in Personal Injury or Civil Litigation Preferred.
  • Strong Understanding of Medical Management, Demand Development, and Negotiation.
  • Ability to Manage Deadlines, Documentation, and Multiple Cases.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills.
  • Proficiency with Crm, Case Management Systems and Legal Technology.
