Our Caseload Is Growing. Our Clients Need Experienced Legal Counsel Who Can Take Cases from Intake to Resolution with Authority, Someone Who Understands the Full Arc of A Personal Injury or Workers' Compensation Matter, Can Lead Strategy, and Can Step Into a Courtroom or A Mediation Room and Perform. This Is Not a Supervisory Role or A Rainmaking Role. This Is a Hands-On, Case-Driving Attorney Position for Someone Who Loves the Work. if You Are a Connecticut-Licensed Attorney Who Has Been Quietly Looking for A Firm Where Your Work Actually Matters, This Is Worth a Conversation.
What You'll Do:
- Case Leadership Own Your Caseload from Intake Through Resolution. Develop Case Strategy, Direct Investigation, Manage Timelines, and Drive Cases Toward the Best Possible Outcome, Whether That's a Negotiated Settlement or A Trial Verdict.
- Litigation Draft and Respond to Pleadings, Motions, and Discovery. Take and Defend Depositions. Appear at Hearings, Mediations, Arbitrations, and Trials. Be the Attorney Clients Trust and Opposing Counsel Respects.
- Client Relationship Management Serve as The Primary Legal Point of Contact for Your Clients. Communicate Clearly, Proactively, and With Genuine Empathy. Clients in Personal Injury and Workers' Comp Matters Are Dealing with Pain, Financial Stress, and Uncertainty — Your Communication Style Is Part of Your Value.
- Medical & Evidence Analysis Review and Analyze Medical Records, Expert Opinions, Vocational Assessments, and Damages Documentation. Develop Compelling Demand Packages and Litigation Strategies Grounded in The Facts.
- Team Collaboration Work Closely with Paralegals, Case Managers, and Offshore Support Staff to Keep Cases Moving Efficiently. Provide Clear Direction, Give Direct Feedback, and Hold the Standard.
- Process Improvement Identify Recurring Bottlenecks — Whether in Discovery, Medical Records Retrieval, Insurance Negotiations, or Court Scheduling — and Contribute to Systemic Solutions that Benefit the Whole Caseload.
What We're Looking For:
- Licensure a Valid, Active License to Practice Law in The State of Connecticut Is Required. Candidates Who Are Not Currently Admitted to The Connecticut Bar Will Not Be Considered, Regardless of Experience. Additional State Admissions Are a Plus.
- Experience Minimum 3 Years of Substantive Experience in Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, or Both. Plaintiff-Side Experience Is Preferred, but Strong Candidates from The Insurance Defense or Workers' Comp Defense Side Are Genuinely Encouraged to Apply — You Know how The Other Side Thinks, and That's Valuable.
- Litigation Ability You've Handled Your Own Cases, Not Just Supported Someone Else's. You're Comfortable in Depositions, at The Negotiating Table, and In the Courtroom.
- Client-First Mindset You Understand that The Practice of Law Is Ultimately a Service Business. Your Clients Are Trusting You with Some of The Most Consequential Decisions of Their Lives. that Responsibility Doesn't Escape You.
- Accountability & Thick Skin You Welcome Direct Feedback, Take Ownership of Your Outcomes, and Don't Make Excuses. You Operate in A Culture of Transparency, that Means You'll Give and Receive Honest Assessments Regularly.
