Description:

We are looking for a junior associate, a patent agent with an advanced degree, or a PhD technical specialist, to join our boutique IP firm. Responsibilities will include patent preparation and prosecution, both US and foreign, focusing on the pharmaceutical and biotechnical arts. Commensurate with experience, the professional will also assist in related matters, including opinion work and client counselling. Opportunities exist for exposure to other aspects of IP work, including trade secret, trademarks, copyrights and licensing.

Qualifications:

PhD or JD with a technical degree in biochemistry, organic chemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, pharmacology, chemical engineering, or equivalent
1-4 years patent prosecution experience
Superior technical, verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment for multiple partners, prioritize and resolve conflicting workload assignments, and have flexibility and communication skills to adapt
Available for hybrid work environment in suburban Philadelphia, PA
