Brock & Stout Attorneys at Law is seeking motivated attorneys to join our growing team. With 13 office locations and continued expansion throughout the Southeast, we are interested in attorneys who want to build a long-term career with an established and growing law firm.

We are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience in Bankruptcy, Social Security Disability, Workers' Compensation, or VA Disability law. However, attorneys with experience in other practice areas who possess strong client-service, communication, and legal skills are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee. Admission in multiple states is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Depending on experience, location, and practice-area assignment, responsibilities may include:
  • Represent clients throughout all stages of their cases
  • Meet and communicate with clients regarding case strategy, status, and next steps
  • Review and analyze client files, medical records, financial documents, and other case materials
  • Prepare legal pleadings, briefs, motions, correspondence, and other documents
  • Represent clients at hearings, proceedings, and other appearances as required
  • Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and other attorneys
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the firm's case-management systems
  • Manage an assigned caseload while providing responsive and professional client service
  • Remain current on applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and procedural requirements
  • Assist the firm with continued growth and expansion into new markets and practice areas

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee State Bar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:
  • Consumer Bankruptcy, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13
  • Social Security Disability
  • Workers' Compensation
  • VA Disability

Prior courtroom, administrative hearing, or high-volume client representation experience is also a plus.

Brock & Stout currently has 13 office locations, with additional locations and markets planned as the firm continues to grow.
