Our growing law firm located in downtown Honolulu is seeking an Associate Attorney for general business-related civil litigation and some transactional work. This position is currently envisioned as entry-level (0-5 years), though experienced candidates are welcome to apply.Operating as a collaborative “hive” rather than a traditional hierarchy, our firm emphasizes mentorship and support, offering you a direct voice in shaping both cases and the firm's strategic direction. The position will provide direct client interaction, courtroom experience, and opportunities to grow under the mentorship of an experienced attorney. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Manage cases from intake through resolution with support from senior attorneys.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values input and shared success.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Must be licensed to practice in Hawaii (or have Hawaii license pending).
- Must reside on Oahu and be able to commute to downtown Honolulu.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
