Busy and established civil defense litigation firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our San Antonio or Austin office. Our practice focuses on personal injury defense, construction litigation, and commercial/business disputes. We offer a collaborative work environment, a diverse caseload, and the opportunity for attorneys to develop and expand their litigation skills while taking on meaningful responsibilities.Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents;
- Reviewing and analyzing records and evidence;
- Conducting legal research and preparing case evaluations;
- Taking and defending depositions;
- Representing clients at hearings and mediations;
- Developing litigation strategies and managing cases; and
- Preparing for and participating in arbitrations and trials.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Texas;
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment; and
- Prior litigation experience preferred but not required.
