About the role:Stanley & Associates is a fast-growing litigation firm seeking a motivated, tech-savvy Associate Attorney to join our team. Our litigation calendar is filling up, and we are looking for a "closer" who thrives in the virtual courtroom.
This role is designed for an attorney who enjoys the action of litigation—depositions, mediations, and hearings—but prefers the efficiency of a modern, tech-forward practice. Most of your docket will be handled via Zoom, allowing for high-volume experience without the burnout of constant travel.
What You'll Do:
- Virtual Litigation: Lead and defend Zoom depositions, represent clients in Zoom mediations, and argue motions in Zoom hearings.
- Docket Management: Take ownership of a full litigation calendar, ensuring all case milestones are met with precision.
- Strategic Drafting: Work alongside our tiered paralegal team to review substantive motions and discovery responses.
- Focused Travel: While most work is remote, occasional travel for in-person depositions or hearings is required (primarily during business hours; overnight stays are rare).
- Client Advocacy: Maintain professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
Who You Are:
- Licensed: Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
- Digitally Native: You are a pro at Zoom advocacy. You understand how to present evidence virtually and maintain a professional presence on screen.
- Efficient: You value "flow state" work. You excel at internal chat/email for coordination.
- Bilingual (Preferred): Fluency in Spanish and English is a significant plus.
- Adaptable: You are ready to jump into a busy calendar and provide immediate relief to a high-performing litigation team.
