Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administrative tasks, negotiation, litigation, legal drafting, and legal research. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
- Provide legal advice to clients
- Attend client meetings and court hearings
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association where practicing law
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively
- Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required
