Role Description
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of civil litigation experience to join our Orange County, California office.

Our dynamic Insurance Services Practice Group is known for its comprehensive approach to complex insurance claims analysis and for representing insurance company clients in high-stakes coverage litigation cases across the country, including matters involving defective products, mass torts, environmental contamination, habitability, transportation, personal injury, professional liability, and intellectual property.

The ideal candidate will have litigation experience along with a background in analyzing complex insurance policies and handling coverage-related disputes.

This is a hybrid position in our Orange County, California (https://www.tresslerllp.com/offices/) office.

Essential job duties include:
  • Assisting with all phases of insurance coverage analysis and related civil litigation in both state and federal court.
  • Drafting coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and other coverage-related communications.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, and supporting depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and risk evaluation.
  • Communicating with clients regarding case status and coverage issues.
  • Attending court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in-person.

Qualifications:
  • Active bar license in California
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • At least 2 years of civil litigation experience in either state or federal court
  • Insurance coverage law experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
