Description:
We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our Central Services Team, supporting our North Carolina Foreclosure and Collections Divisions in the area of Greensboro and the surrounding counties.This role will focus on attendance at Foreclosure and Collections hearings, providing critical support to maintain consistency and efficiency in those divisions.
Additionally, this role will provide support to the Foreclosure Division in the review of required documentation to meet both State and Federal regulatory requirements during the Foreclosure process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review documents in foreclosure and collections actions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough title reviews and be cognizant of the types of filings which could affect the foreclosure and collections processes.
- Represent clients at foreclosure and collections hearings and other court proceedings throughout the Greensboro area.
- Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys across divisions to ensure efficient file progression.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients and internal teams as needed.
Position Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina, in good standing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Courtroom experience and confidence in oral advocacy a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 0–3+ years of relevant experience in foreclosure, real estate, or civil litigation preferred (newly licensed attorneys will be considered).
- Prior experience in foreclosure or mortgage servicing law.
- Familiarity with title review and curative processes.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
This position can be either fully remote or based in our Winston-Salem, NC location on either a hybrid or in-office model. Travel within the area of Greensboro and surrounding counties for hearings is required.
