Description:

A respected regional law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of litigation experience to join its growing litigation group, focusing on medical malpractice defense in Delaware. Key Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney will play an active role in all phases of litigation, including but not limited to:
  • Managing and supporting a caseload of medical malpractice defense matters
  • Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda
  • Participating in and taking depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Preparing and responding to written discovery
  • Assisting with expert witness development and trial strategy
  • Attending court appearances, hearings, and trials as appropriate
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Delaware (required)
  • 1-4 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or civil defense
  • Demonstrated experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
