Full Time position. Attorneys take a team approach to cases. Attorney will be assigned to represent court appointed clients in the City of Wichita Municipal Court. Representation will include trial, plea negotiations, hearings, probation violations and jail visits. Attorney will be assigned to the Drug Court Team and Mental Health Court Team to provide defense perspective at staffing meetings and protect the rights of clients in those courts. The successful candidate will familiarize themselves with the Best Practice standards for treatment courts set out by the National Association of Drug Court professionals. Municipal court has a high volume of cases and therefore candidates must be able to multi-task and issue spot in a fast paced environment.
