Description:
Young, Thagard, Hoffman, LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense and civil litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, and automobile liability claims.Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of the pre-litigation and litigation process.
- Maintain contact with and update clients on cases and advise clients.
- Draft/review pleadings and motions.
- Conduct and prepare discovery and motions.
- Handle hearings, depositions, and mediations, as well as negotiate settlements.
- Provide legal analysis and strategic recommendations to clients and insurers.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure efficient case management
- Track time and expenses and other administrative functions related to the practice of law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Active Georgia Bar membership (or ability to obtain promptly).
- 3-4 years of litigation experience, with insurance defense preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
