Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in personal injury law. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Associate Attorney will work closely with clients and senior attorneys to provide high-quality legal services while contributing to the growth and success of our firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies, including analyzing statutes, case law, and regulations relevant to personal injury claims.
  • Draft and file legal documents, such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with California court rules.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions, advocating effectively to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, explaining legal options, and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with opposing counsel to negotiate settlements, draft correspondence, and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Assist in developing case strategies under the direction of the Managing Attorney, including identifying key evidence and preparing trial materials.
  • Review medical records, accident reports, and other case-related documents to build compelling arguments for liability and damages.
  • Ensure compliance with all ethical standards, court deadlines, and procedural requirements in personal injury litigation.
  • Participate in case evaluations to assess settlement potential and litigation risks.
  • Mentor junior legal staff or paralegals as needed, providing guidance on case management and legal procedures.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
  • Knowledge of California personal injury law, court procedures, and insurance practices.
  • Commitment to client-centered representation and ethical legal practice.

Education and Expertise

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury law preferred.
  • Prior experience as an independent contractor in a legal setting is a plus.
