Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney with a passion for family law. The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, comfortable managing client relationships, and able to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, property division, and post-decree issues
- Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Oklahoma
- 1–5 years of experience (family law experience strongly preferred)
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and drafting skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently
- Compassionate, client-focused approach
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior courtroom experience
- Experience with high-conflict custody cases
- Familiarity with mediation and collaborative law processes
