Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Troy, MI office. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and analytical skills, and a desire to learn and grow within a supportive team. This role focuses on achieving resolution of client issues through negotiation and litigation while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Review case files, analyze facts and laws, and determine appropriate legal actions.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations; prepare legal opinions and case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and case updates using proprietary case management software.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other applicable laws.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and court staff.
  • Participate in professional development, training, and firm-sponsored learning opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Michigan.
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, and client service excellence.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, credit check, and drug screening.
