Description:
Position Summary:We are seeking qualified and motivated attorneys with well-rounded people skills to provide legal services to participants in the national legal services plan, LegalShield. Powers Chapman is the sole provider firm in the State of Michigan for these services. The attorney should be able to handle a broad range of legal issues, including (but not limited to) family law, landlord-tenant, real estate, estate planning, consumer issues, auto accidents and employment matters. We are also looking for attorneys with experience in the areas of business, immigration and tax.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the State Bar of Michigan.
- 2+ years of legal experience required, with no discipline.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Commitment to access to justice and legal equity.
