Description:

Fisher Patterson Sayler & Smith, LLP is pleased to invite applications for an associate attorney to join its Topeka, Kansas office. As a midsize civil litigation defense firm, Fisher Patterson offers a welcoming, collaborative environment where attorneys can build meaningful litigation experience, work directly with clients, and learn alongside colleagues recognized by U.S. News' Best Lawyers as part of a First-Tier law firm in Municipal Defense and Civil Rights Litigation, as well as Labor & Employment Litigation.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical ability, excellent writing skills, sound judgment, strong organization skills, the ability to accurately record billable hours, and a desire to provide thoughtful, high-quality advocacy for clients.

Associates in this role are supported while developing a broad range of litigation skills, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation. The firm values teamwork, practical training, and professional growth, and offers a compensation package that is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
