Job Description:The Tampa, FL office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is growing and is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding Long-Term Care practice group. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and office, work alongside experienced litigators, contribute to case strategy and development, and build strong relationships with firm clients.
Seeking an Associate Attorney with 0–5 years of insurance defense experience. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn from experienced litigators, participate in case strategy and development, and interact with and develop firm clients. Candidates must be active members in good standing of the Florida Bar.
Responsibilities:
- Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions
- Effectively communicate with clients about their cases, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and prepare and respond to discovery
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and other team members in building and executing successful defense strategies
- Participate in case strategy and development while working closely with experienced litigators
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with firm clients
Qualifications:
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 0–5 years of insurance defense experience
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong interest in attending trial and utilizing litigation skills
- Ability to develop and execute defense litigation strategies, exercise sound judgment, and effectively manage case responsibilities
Compensation:
Salary range of $120,000–$150,000, depending on experience. In addition to base salary, Associate Attorneys are offered two bonus structures and an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
