Longfellow, Landy & Revell, LLP, a longstanding insurance defense firm located in Tallahassee, Florida, seeks an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. Our associates handle a diverse case load defending businesses, individuals, and governmental entities. Practice areas include labor and employment defense, general liability, wrongful death, civil rights defense, and all types of torts.Responsibilities:
- Take and defend depositions;
- Draft and argue dispositive motions;
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials;
- Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law;
- Prepare pleadings and correspondence;
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel;
- Provide high-quality legal service to our clients with excellent legal work and timely, clear communication.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required;
- 3-5 years of legal experience.
