The Ritchie Law Group is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing family law practice in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

For more than 25 years, The Ritchie Law Group has provided compassionate, effective, and results-driven representation to clients throughout Northwest Missouri. Our firm focuses primarily on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and other complex family law issues. We are known for our commitment to client service, collaborative team approach, and ability to find creative solutions to difficult legal problems.

We are looking for a motivated attorney who can independently manage a caseload while contributing to a team dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage family law matters from intake through resolution
  • Conduct client consultations and provide strategic legal guidance
  • Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure successful case outcomes

Required Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Missouri State Bar (Kansas State Bar admission is a plus)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably in family law
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to independently manage a caseload
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively without micromanagement

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Family law litigation experience
  • Estate planning experience a plus
  • Admission to both Missouri and Kansas State Bars
