Lether Law Group is looking for a highly-motivated associate-level attorney to join our insurance coverage and complex litigation practice. We are a local firm with a national practice looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a multifaceted, dynamic, and growing area of the law. Two or more years of insurance coverage and/or litigation experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Experience with all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, motions practice, taking and defending depositions, and trial preparation
  • Insurance coverage experience
  • Proactive case management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Must be licensed to practice in Washington

The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work with a legal team to manage cases from inception to closure
  • Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and settlement agreements
  • Legal analysis of case law, statutes, regulations, fact patterns, and policy language
  • Review and analysis of documents including claims files, correspondence, pleadings, and documents produced in discovery
  • Prepare for, and attend or conduct, depositions, mediations, hearings, and meetings
  • Communicate with clients, counsel, and experts
  • Trial preparation
