Description:
Overview:We are seeking motivated and detail‑oriented Associate Attorney to join our Commercial Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will support the firm's clients by conducting legal research, document review, drafting litigation documents, participating in client consultations, and assisting with case strategy. This role requires strong research and drafting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with plaintiff‑side litigation is required, and experience with Relativity is mandatory.
Essential Functions:
- Gather evidence and initiate legal actions to ascertain case facts.
- Draft, review, and revise litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on relevant issues.
- Analyze probable case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents.
- Present and summarize cases to judges and juries or assist senior attorneys in doing so.
- Participate in client meetings and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with case strategy and management under the supervision of a senior attorney or partner.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for case presentation.
- Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals.
- Use existing process‑automation tools to manage caseload, including scheduled follow‑ups (Niblets).
- Maintain organized case files and update case management systems.
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and case law developments.

Required Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law
- Experience in a law firm environment
- 0–3 years of relevant legal experience
- Familiarity with plaintiff litigation (required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in commercial litigation
