What we are looking for:We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our associate attorney team. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the state of California. Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate to join our collaborative working environment, who is enthusiastic about developing their legal expertise and contributing to the continued success of our firm.
Qualifications:
- 0 – 5 years of experience practicing law (post bar clerk will also be considered)
- Proficient in drafting legal documents
- Experience in estate planning, trust, and/or probate law preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with legal research tools (e.g. LexisNexis, CEB) and case management software preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat preferred
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with partners and paralegals to effectively move files through probate, trust, guardianship, and conservatorship administration process
- Non-litigation court appearances related to probate, trust, guardianship, and conservatorship matters
- Draft pleadings and correspondence
- Conduct legal research
