A Family Law Firm is a boutique law firm offering, Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation, Real Estate, and Family Law services looking for a compassionate attorney to advocate for our clients. Candidates should have experience and knowledge of the presiding system in Bexar County and experience in drafting/filing motions and orders. Experience in the courtroom is also required: first chair experience, comfortable handling hearings alone, and confidence to take on bigger complex cases.Responsibilities:
- Assisting other attorneys with research, drafting, and court appearances
- Maintaining your docket of cases, including client communications, drafting, and litigating on behalf of the client
- Strong communication and rapport with clients, able to discuss case strategies and prepare clients for court
- Attending hearings, ADR, and depositions
- Working beyond a 9-5 day to meet the deadlines and obligations of clients
Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of litigation experience in the State of Texas
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Ability to stay organized and be detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in learning new operating systems (ie: MyCase, TxDocs, etc.
