Sralla Family Law PLLC is a growing, boutique family law firm in San Antonio, Texas, owned and operated by Attorney Kevin "Buck" Sralla. Mr. Sralla has been an attorney for more than 24 years in Michigan and Texas.

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the law and be able to provide sound legal advice to our clients. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for researching and preparing legal documents, representing clients in court, and providing legal counsel to clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a high level of attention to detail.

The best candidate for this position should be a go-getter who embraces hard but rewarding work. He or she will manage 60-70 family law, probate, criminal and occasional personal injury cases in an organized and low-stress manner. This person will be tasked with billing 30 hours a week, attending court hearings 2-3 times a week, and filling in for the owner/attorney as needed.

In addition, the right person will possess strong writing skills and possess professional interpersonal skills that allow him or her to get along with a variety of personalities within the firm, with peers and court personnel and finicky clients.

This person should be willing to teach paralegals and other support staff members with patience.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda of law.
  • Advise clients on a variety of legal matters.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings 2-3 times per week.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the law and its practice.
  • Maintain client relationships from intake to final hearing.
  • Bill 30 hours a week consistently (including court time)
  • Conduct new client intake interviews as needed
  • Instruct legal staff as needed

Qualifications:
  • Law degree from an accredited law school
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong legal knowledge and writing skills
  • Two or more years of experience with family law matters
  • Good standing with the State Bar Association

Working Schedule
:
  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday to Thursday
  • 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday

Work Location
: In person; some hybrid allowed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
