- We are searching for an ambitious and highly competent individual to join our fast-paced legal firm as an Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate would have experience in California civil litigation, specifically, unlawful detainers, and must be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, be an excellent writer, and willing to learn the ever evolving laws. You would be joining three other attorneys to work closely with as well as the support staff.
Duties:
- Represent clients in litigation and other legal proceedings
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and notices
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Advise clients on legal issues and provide guidance on potential outcomes
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations or arbitrations
- Attend court hearings and trials to advocate for clients
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (Specifically, the California State Bar and in good standing)
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, rules, and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience in handling complex litigation cases is preferred
