We are looking for a self motivated, Associate Attorney with experience in Trust & Estates law who wants to grow with the firm and work as a team to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. Amazing learning opportunity for 1st - 2nd year attorney. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of 1 attorney.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management support to lawyers working with trust and estate, probate, special needs and elder law matters and enhance client outcomes
  • Handle communication with clients, clients' families, court clerks, realtors, business colleagues and other attorneys
  • Support, prepare for and run Client Meetings, Signings, attend Probate Court Hearings and Prepare Filings
  • Draft and prepare estate administration documents to file with Probate Court and Drafting Various Estate Documents for Clients to Sign
  • Conduct client intake meetings, and obtain all necessary documents and information
  • Locate and develop case relevant information for trust and estate and elder law cases
  • Type up and file legal documents, letters, forms and correspondence
  • Draft complex trust documents, accounting of assets and financial reports for Estates
  • Answer and manage client phone calls, emails and calendar
  • Process, copy, scan and organize all financial and client data and case files, maintain contact lists and other excel spreadsheets in database
  • Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars

  • Proven working experience in legal field or similar
  • Familiarity with legal procedures and protocols, and probate court system
  • Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
  • Computer literacy, AI experience, including Office 365, Excel, Word proficiency, Copiers and Scanners
  • Proficiency in English including excellent writing skills a must
  • Excellent Communication Skills with Clients and Business Colleagues
  • Excellent writing, research and editing skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple activities and be organized, including heavy caseload, and work under pressure
  • Licensed to practice law in CT and/or NY- or Sat for Bar Exam
