We are an established firm of 8 attorneys located in downtown Portsmouth.Associate Attorney Qualifications & skills
- 0 to 5 years of experience.
- Admission to the New Hampshire State Bar required. additional jurisdictions are preferred.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices related to litigation.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of litigation cases under supervision and tutelage of partner, ensuring all deadlines are met and that partner is kept up to speed on all relevant aspects.
- Conducting interviews with prospective clients who have contacted our firm in order to assess the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, provide initial consultations, and make decisions about whether to offer potential legal services.
- Completing legal research and memo writing to support cases.
- Staying organized, meeting deadlines, and multi-tasking to achieve priorities in a fast-paced environment.
