Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our criminal and traffic defense team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in advocating for clients in a courtroom setting.
Duties:
- Represent clients in civil traffic and criminal hearings statewide.
- Represent clients in Injunctions Against Harassment and Orders of Protection matters,
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases while managing a caseload independently.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely communication with clients regarding case progress.
- Participate in client meetings and provide updates on legal strategies and developments.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Arizona state bar.
- Experience or coursework in criminal defense.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Excellent writing skills for legal drafting and documentation purposes.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
