Description:

Overview:
Taylor Labor Law, P.C., a growing plaintiff-side employment litigation firm, seeks an ambitious and motivated Associate Attorney to join our Pasadena office.

This is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants substantial hands-on litigation experience and meaningful responsibility early in their career. This is not a research-only role. The associate will actively litigate cases, work directly with clients, and quickly assume responsibility for advancing matters from intake through resolution.

The ideal candidate is intelligent, resourceful, and entrepreneurial, with strong judgment and a desire to develop into a highly capable employment litigator.

Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney will work on a broad range of plaintiff-side employment matters and will be expected to take on increasingly substantive responsibilities, including:
  • Client intake and ongoing client communication
  • Drafting complaints and pleadings
  • Written discovery and discovery strategy
  • Law and motion practice
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Mediation preparation and attendance
  • Case management and litigation strategy
  • Court appearances and other substantive litigation responsibilities
  • Associates who demonstrate initiative and strong performance will quickly assume greater ownership over their cases.

Mentorship & Growth
We believe in developing excellent litigators. The successful candidate will receive meaningful mentorship and support, while also being encouraged to work independently and develop confidence in their own judgment.

This position is particularly well-suited for someone who wants to gain real courtroom and litigation experience early, rather than remain limited to research and drafting.

Qualifications:
Preferred:
  • 1–3 years of litigation experience (employment law experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
  • California Bar admission preferred

We are also open to considering candidates awaiting California Bar results, provided they are eligible to work in a legal capacity pending admission.
