Associate Attorney – Employment Law
Palm Desert, California (Onsite Only)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, evaluate, and strategize new cases
  • Assist in ongoing cases – prelitigation and litigation
  • Perform all phases of discovery, motion practice, ADR, and other pretrial and trial preparation
  • Engage in extensive client communications and counseling
  • Assist in or conduct mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and litigation (including PAGA, class actions, and discrimination claims)
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and client correspondence
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings
  • Support Workplace Solutions matters, including drafting handbooks, policies, and advising on day-to-day employment law compliance
  • Assist with workplace investigations and fact-finding
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Research and write with accuracy and advocacy
  • Help train and mentor our team members

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience practicing civil litigation, employment law preferred
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Superior written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload
  • Team-oriented mindset and personal accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines independently
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality legal work and client service

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with wage and hour claims, PAGA actions, or workplace investigations
  • Familiarity with California employment law and litigation procedures
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
