Expanding Oconomowoc general practice firm seeks an experienced attorney to continue to grow our fast-paced practice. We help people going through transitions in their lives and help plan for future changes. We specialize in estate planning, probate/trust administration, family law, guardianships, and elder law. Additionally, we handle civil litigation, real estate and business formation.

Duties:
  • Ability to effectively process a probate administration, from opening of matter until closing.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Conduct client consultations for gathering relevant information.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas.
  • Electronically file case documents with the Wisconsin Circuit Court eFiling System.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations pertinent to estate planning, probate, guardianships, and other specialty areas.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in Wisconsin.

Ideal candidate will have a strong background handling probate matters. A minimum of 1+ year of experience in the areas discussed above, including courtroom appearances and motion practice, and a willingness to learn.

Proficient filing documents with the Wisconsin Circuit Court eFiling System.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Self-starter, with a willingness to learn, who applies common sense and follows an ethical compass when dealing with clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients in highly stressful and emotional situations.
  • Experienced in case law research, including working knowledge of Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
