We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team and help clients navigate complex legal matters.
Position Overview:
As an Associate Attorney at our firm, you will be responsible for drafting estate planning documents, handling the administration of estates and trusts, and representing clients in Orphans' court proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in estate planning and have a client-centered approach to legal services. You will work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure that our clients receive timely, high-quality legal advice and representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation: Draft and prepare essential legal documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, necessary court filings, and Guardianship pleadings. Client Consultation & Communication: Meet with clients to discuss their legal needs, explain complex concepts, and provide highly competent legal advice. Build strong relationships with Firm clientele by understanding their concerns and addressing emotional and sensitive issues with empathy and compassion.
- Probate & Trust Administration: Manage the administration of estates and trusts from inception to conclusion, including ancillary probate and Orphans' Court proceedings, contested or otherwise. Legal Research & Strategy: Stay updated on legal changes related to estate planning, estate administration, and relevant tax and elder law matters, adapting strategies and practice points to ensure compliance and success for our clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
- Document Review: Review and draft legal documents with exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards and local rules of Court.
- Problem Solving: Take initiative to resolve client issues and anticipate legal needs, providing proactive solutions.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (PA) Excellent academic credentials and strong legal research and writing skills Prior experience in estate planning and estate administration is required Compassionate and client-focused approach, with the ability to address emotional and complex legal issues Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills, both verbal and written Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with sound business judgment Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback for professional growth
