Description:

An Arizona Construction Law Firm is a civil litigation law firm with offices in Michigan, Arizona, and Texas. The firm is seeking an attorney for the rapidly growing practice. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience. Construction and business litigation experience is a plus.

Job duties include managing case files, client reporting, researching law, preparing legal documents, investigating facts as well as attending hearings, depositions, and trials. Organization, ability to follow procedures, time management, and attention to detail are essential. Must possess excellent communication skills, ability and experience sufficient to defend clients in a variety of construction or litigation matters and ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend hearings, conferences, mediations, and conduct trials.
  • Draft relevant documents.
  • Argue motions, take effective depositions of lay and expert witnesses.
  • Consult with clients, opposing counsel.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Michigan State Bar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to handle a case from inception to conclusion.
  • Deposition and trial experience a plus/not required.
  • Background in practicing in all phases of litigation.
  • Must have excellent writing, research, and oral skills.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
