Salary Range:$135,000.00 To $165,000.00 Annually
MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney in our New York office.
MG+M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, general liability, complex product liability, local government, and commercial litigation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a general liability and labor law litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
- Review and analyze discovery requests and responses.
- Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
- Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions.
- Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy.
- Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.
Candidate Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience in one or more of the following practice areas:
- Labor Law
- General Liability
- Admitted to practice in New York with New Jersey a plus.
- Experience with motion practice and depositions.
- Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
- Capable of independent work.
- Work in an organized and efficient manner.
- Superior research and writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to analyze complex matters.
