Overview:
Blair & Ramirez LLP is a plaintiff-side Personal Injury and Employment firm with a high-volume litigation caseload and consistent inbound work.

We are hiring one Associate Attorney to focus on law and motion. This role is built for attorneys who want to write, move cases, and get results — not sit in administrative work or business development.

You will work directly with partners and the litigation team, owning written advocacy across active cases.

What Your Week Actually Looks Like
  • Drafting and opposing demurrers, motions to strike, and motions for summary judgment
  • Handling 3–6 motions/oppositions per week
  • Conducting legal research and preparing meet and confer correspondence
  • Working under tight turnaround timelines (24–72 hours)
  • Receiving direct partner feedback on drafts
  • Supporting litigation strategy through written advocacy

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and oppose motions (demurrers, MSJ, motions to strike)
  • Conduct legal research and apply it to case strategy
  • Prepare meet and confer letters and responses
  • Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality written work product across cases
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to move cases forward efficiently

Qualifications:
  • Experience in law and motion (PI and/or employment preferred)
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines without supervision
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000 (DOE)
