About the role:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our established, multi-practice law firm at our main office in Leavenworth. This position is open to attorneys at all experience levels — from newly licensed to experienced practitioners considering a lateral move.

Our firm prioritizes sustainable workloads, a supportive team environment, and long-term professional growth. Attorneys are given meaningful responsibility, strong administrative and paralegal support, and the opportunity to develop their own practice focus over time. Those who demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and ownership of their work will have opportunities for increased responsibility, leadership, and long-term advancement, including potential partnership.

  • Employment and workplace matters
  • Civil and commercial litigation
  • Contracts and business matters

(Associates are not expected to practice in every area; work is assigned based on experience, interest, and firm needs.)

Work Environment & Support
  • Manageable and clearly defined billable expectations
  • Strong paralegal and administrative support
  • Attorneys focus on legal work, not administrative overhead or collections

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
  • Represent clients in court appearances, negotiations, and proceedings as appropriate
  • Communicate regularly with clients and internal team members
  • Contribute to firm growth through strong client service and professional development

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in Kansas (or ability to obtain promptly)
  • Strong writing, research, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters simultaneously
  • Professional judgment and a client-focused mindset

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range of $65,000–$90,000 based on experience
  • 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Assistance with bar dues and professional licensing fees
  • Performance-based compensation growth over time
  • Exposure to multiple practice areas and case types
