Matthew Watson, Attorney at Law, LLC, a thriving general civil litigation practice, is seeking an associate attorney to join our talented team.This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging litigation matters, develop your own professional style, and assume meaningful responsibility in a well-run and growing law practice. We are looking for an attorney who is competent, takes initiative, has good humor and the ability to get things done.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution;
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery;
- Conducting depositions and court appearances;
- Advising clients and participating in case strategy;
- Working collaboratively with attorneys and staff while maintaining ownership of assigned matters.
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New Mexico;
- At least three years of civil litigation experience;
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to Las Cruces, New Mexico;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Organized, reliable, and generally have your personal and professional life in order;
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
