Overview:Schell Nuelle, LLP is a small business law firm with offices in Lake Forest and Upland that provides both corporate and litigation services to our clients. We are seeking an attorney with 0-5 years of experience. New attorneys are welcome to apply. Candidates will have the ability to work in Lake Forest and/or Upland., with some remote work negotiable. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal areas, including litigation, corporate, employment, personal injury, healthcare, and more. As an Associate Attorney, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal support, conducting thorough research, drafting precise legal documents and discovery, taking depositions, drafting contracts, and assisting with litigation processes. This position is ideal for motivated legal professionals eager to develop their expertise in multiple practice areas while contributing to impactful cases and client solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive legal research using LexisNexis to support case development and legal analysis.
- Draft clear, accurate legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence.
- Assist and/or lead preparation for trials, hearings, and negotiations.
- Support clients through consultations on various matters.
- Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations across multiple practice areas including employment law, healthcare law and personal injury law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Proven experience or strong interest in practicing business law, corporate law, litigation, employment law, and/or personal injury.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized and persuasive legal documents.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to analyze complex legal issues critically.
- Experience with legal drafting and familiarity with court procedures across various jurisdictions.
- Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude toward learning is essential. Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
