Overview:We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the law, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients
- Write legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements
- Negotiate on behalf of clients
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence
- Represent clients in court proceedings and litigation
- Manage and oversee legal administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation
- Proficiency in using legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with various areas of law such as family law, immigration law, bankruptcy law, or corporate law
- Experience with case management software
- Previous experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department
