We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented Associate Attorneys to join our legal team on a contract basis with full-time employment potential. Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in civil and/or appellate procedure. This role requires excellent legal research and strategy skills, and the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of our clients. Associate Attorneys will work closely with Senior Attorney and Paralegals during litigation, through intake to trial, post-trial, and/or appeals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex civil cases.
- Stay updated on relevant laws.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of legal practice.
- Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under the law.
- Participate in client meetings and consultations to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Missouri State Bar, in good standing.
- Strong legal research skills with litigation experience required.
- Knowledge of civil and appellate procedure is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to litigate effectively in court settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technology and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, while also managing individual responsibilities.
