Job Summary:Maggio Law is seeking a passionate, driven Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will represent clients in all stages of personal injury cases — from intake to resolution — with a focus on delivering compassionate client service and powerful courtroom advocacy.
This role requires an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a diverse caseload, and is eager to stand up for individuals injured through no fault of their own. You'll work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to investigate claims, draft pleadings, negotiate settlements, and, when necessary, litigate cases through trial.

What You'll Do:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation, ensuring their interests are vigorously defended.
- Advise clients on matters related to personal injury law.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case preparation and strategy development.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with all court deadlines and ethical requirements.
- Appear in court for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.
- Handle all aspects of personal injury cases, including client interviews, demand preparation, discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial work.
- Evaluate case merits, identify key legal issues, and develop strategic approaches for optimal client outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance representatives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Mississippi
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation, organization, and client management abilities.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks within a law office setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual caseloads effectively.
- 1–3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred, but new attorneys with strong advocacy skills will be considered
