Gokal Law Group, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will handle a variety of litigation matters, work closely with partners and senior associates, and play a key role in client relations and case management. The candidate should have a working knowledge of the code of civil procedure and experience in law and motion work. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery (both propounding and responses) - must have strong writing skills
- Assist with mediation
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on more complex cases
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist in trial preparation and attend trial as second chair if required
- Stay updated on legal developments and changes in the law relevant to probate/wills/trusts
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar and in good standing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
- Commitment to professional growth and development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in litigation (civil, employment, probate, etc.)
- Previous experience in a law firm setting
